assess, EGG pointed out that the right corner of the left-hand side of the enclosure
had a large amount of feathers on the inside and outside. Looks like signs of a struggle.
All remaining roommates are fine. KD has been notified.

Bird is alert and perching, flying in enclosure. Sutures on leg look great, healing well. However, I found a scab on the right upper chest, I think it is above the original smaller puncture. It was a fairly thick scab, when removed there is some shallow muscle exposure. About 3 mm in length.
Brought bird inside, flushed w/ saline and applied Silver gel. Continue EOD, hopefully will heal quickly. Continue antibiotics until 9/13, I will recheck. Dr Gardner

Surgery report
Procedure - Wound debridement
Performed by - Dr G
Surgery time - 20 minutes

First prepped wound on cranial aspect of right TBT. There is
some exudate within the SQ space. Debrided all exudate and edges
of wound then closed skin with 2 horizontal mattress sutures
in 4-0 PDS. 

Then scrubbed wound on back of right TBT. There is some damage
and exposure into muscle, and exudate within. After clearing
exudate and debriding SQ and skin, left with about 1 cm defect.
Closed muscle w/ a single horizontal mattress suture, and skin
with 2 horizontal mattress sutures, 4-0 PDS. There is some tension
on the skin and the are is mildly indented after closing. 
Wounds on back and face are small and dry. Applied Silver-gel.

BARP, clung to ceiling, footy and grabbed me through the glove. Did not eat. Brought inside for wound care. Bandages stayed intact. One flat fly seen in condo, forgot to spray. Anesthetized under iso (5% ind, 2% maint). Leg wounds look the same as they did yesterday. Face wound looks smaller than it did yesterday. Flushed leg wounds and reapplied SSD + Duo/tega bandage. Scrubbed face wound with chlorhex, left alone. Discovered scab on the birds back, cranial between shoulder blades. Small puncture wound revealed. Applied SSD + telfa/tega. Did not give fluids due to wound on back. Recovery a bit slow but uneventful. Banded. Set up in KR2 kennel with perch.
